Irem Isabelle Ozcan-Beckmann

I'm Isabelle Ozcan-Beckmann, Founder, Director and Embryologist at The Fertility Home, an independently owned fertility clinic in South Wales. As an embryologist, I've witnessed both the incredible joy and heartbreak of fertility treatment. These experiences inspired me to create a clinic where patients feel like individuals, not numbers, and where exceptional clinical care goes hand in hand with genuine kindness and compassion. Building a clinic from the ground up has been the most rewarding yet challenging journey of my life. I've worn many hats, from embryologist and quality manager to managing director, navigating countless obstacles, long days and sleepless nights. I've had to step far outside my comfort zone, learning the realities of running a business whilst never losing sight of why I started. I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved in such a short time, particularly as a small independent clinic in an industry dominated by much larger organisations. I believe that success isn't simply measured by growth or profit, but by the difference we make to people's lives and the trust they place in us. What drives me is knowing that behind every appointment is someone hoping for their own little miracle. Seeing patients return with their babies makes every challenge worthwhile. My ambition is to continue growing without losing the warmth and personal touch that make us special. For me, it's about building something I believe in, with people I believe in, for our patients.
